National Honor Society for Dance Arts

  CDE Chapter Sponsor Since 2011 

 

As a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA), our goals are to promote and honor outstanding artistic achievement in dance students 11-18 years of age, to encourage young dance artists to be leaders in the community and to identify honor students for nomination to the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award.

Induction into the NHSDA

Induction into the NHSDA is awarded on the basis of points earned for meritorious work in dance. Other factors include grade point average, cooperative teamwork, motivation, outreach, choreography, performance, teaching and production.

 

Benefits of Induction include:

  • Certificate of Induction

  • NHSDA honor cords and gold honor pins

  • Eligible to apply for the NDEO Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award, one of the highest honors for dance in the United States
