The Community Dance Ensemble is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization of dance students who perform throughout New England at nursing homes, senior centers, hospitals and benefit concerts. 

In 2002, the CDE received the Rell’s Reward, an award for outstanding community service from the then Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut, M. Jodi Rell. 

CDE dancers’ education is enhanced by attendance at special master classes, conventions, concerts and educational performance programs such as Walt Disney World’s Magic Music Days, the Tremaine Dance Convention and the Radio City Rockette Experience.

The CDE has attended master classes in New York City with dancers from the casts of Broadway musicals including Billy Elliot, Hairspray, Tarzan & Cats.

They have also performed at Walt Disney World Resort, Hershey Park and the Garde Arts Center. The CDE was honored to be invited to perform for veterens at the Soldier's Home in Holyoke, MA and children at the Shriner's Hospital in Springfield, MA.
